No. 11: Adverse Camber

Some time ago, I had cause to strip down the rear brake assembly of my Seven, and when putting it back together, inadvertently put the brake camber lever adjuster on upside down. This it seems is very easy to do and appears to work just as well. But unfortunately, because the cable is now much closer to the floor pan, whenever an additional weight is carried i.e. more than the driver, the bodywork. especially when rounding corners, presses down on the cable and puts the brake on. The symptoms are intermittent red hot brakes, bubbly paintwork on the drums and difficulty in steering round corners, when a certain stiffness is encountered.
